The History of Tortuga
En In August of 2023 Clau was on a land expedition trip in Asturias for a small group that had been forming for some time.
One fine day, she ran into Ana in Infiesto, and they went to see a plot of land covering several hectares near Arriondas... A plot of land with a ruined village, forests, pastures, a fairytale stream, views of the Picos de Europa... a plot of land that screamed abundance!
These two people fell in love with the land and, together with others, began collecting the people they knew who were interested in starting a big movement.
Shared Governance
We learn and try to practice Sociocracy. We have three operational working circles (which we call ESCAMAS) and an organizational circle made up of representatives from each one.
